Reasons for Selling Nvidia and AMD
Yesterday, I saw that Nvidia and AMD rose close to the highest levels again, so I decided to decrease a small portion of these positions again. On the one hand, it is to reduce the loan ratio. On the other hand, since the percentage shares of these two stocks have risen to the highest in the portfolio, so I decided to rebalance the positions. After all, the stock market is now close to the all time high, you have to prepare for market adjustments or plummeting at any time, you can never expect that the market will continue to hit new highs. Anyway, if the stock market can continue to rise, I will continue to be a beneficiary.
In the long run, I think Nvidia and AMD will continue benefitting from the development of big technology in the future. Nvidia will be one of the beneficiaries of the development of the metaverse. AMD will continue to seize Intel’s market share and have the ability to innovate to open up new market, so I will continue to hold these two companies for a long time.
Reasons for buying Paypal
I have seen Paypal’s share price plummet in the past two days, because the market is not optimistic about its acquisition of Pinterest, although I don’t quite understand why Paypal wants to acquire this social media company that seems to be going downhill, and I don’t understand how beneficial it is to Paypal’s business. However, I still have confidence in the Paypal management team.
After the price plummeting, Paypal’s market value dropped by more than 30 billion US dollars. Therefore, I think it should not be too bad to buy a small quantity at the current price. Of course, it is only if Paypal can do better and better in the long run, in this case, the short-term decline is a good opportunity to increase the position. I hope my confidence in Paypal will not be lost in the long run.
