Reasons to buy 9988

Today, Alibaba’s stock price is reaching another recent bottom again. Although it is unknown whether it has reached the lowest price or not, the current price of HK$150 has fallen 8.4% from the last time I increased the position at HK$164. I originally wanted to wait for it dropping 10%, which is about HK$147.6 and then increase the position. However, I think that HK$150 is already a very attractive price, so I don’t want to wait any longer and miss this opportunity. If it continues to fall to the level of HK$140, I will consider adding more positions again.

At present, it is obvious that the rise and fall of Alibaba’s stock price has nothing to do with its business performance. As long as the Chinese Central Government has new policies to tighten control of domestic enterprises or market supervision, it will immediately fall; on the contrary, if the market thinks that the government seems to begin or have any signs to loosen control, The stock price will start to rise. Under this circumstance, my view is a bit different from the mainstream views. I think that now is an excellent opportunity for long-term investment to add positions of excellent companies, because under normal circumstances, you are unlikely to buy at such a low valuation. Investing in such companies with outstanding performance can only be bought at a low price under the current circumstances, that is, when the market ignores the valuation and just rises or falls according to market sentiments. Of course, everything can happen in the investment market, and it is possible that the investment value of Alibaba has been permanently destroyed as some people have said. So I think this is the beauty of investment. For the same situation, different people have different opinions. No one will know the result of the development of the current incidents. Let time prove whether I was right or wrong in the end.
